Thieves broke into a work van on Sunningdale in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

Two vans were broken into in Rushcliffe Road while vans in Lime Grove, Sandcliffe Road, Belton Lane and Park Road were also targeted.

Police have linked all of the incidents together.

Around £5,000 worth of tools were stolen from a van in Sunningdale in the early hours of yesterday morning (Tuesday).

Owner Ryan Whitcombe was devastated to discover his tools had been taken.

He said: "Three people in either a car or a van pulled up a few doors down from our house on Sunningdale at 1am and decided to rip my van open like a tin can. They got away with near on £3,000 worth of Makita battery tools, laser levels and a Gesipa battery riveter."

Ryan's fiancée Mhairi Henderson added: "I can’t even put into words how angry I am that people can do this. We work hard for what we have for it to be stolen right under us while we sleep."

The incident was caught on the couples CCTV camera footage and passed to the police.
